Read a book. They don’t have random ads to skip.

Often, I find it much simpler to stick a post-it note inside a book. Saves me having to remember which Youtube video I saw, with which tip.

Minipedia

Minipedia for Gamers
Minipedia for Gamers by Scale75 is very similar to Minipedia but focusses on popular tabletop games. I’ve linked to the Kickstarter as I’m not 100% certain it’s fully commercially available yet.

Ammo by MIG provides a great series of four books covering everything you can imagine to get your models, bases and figures painted really well.

This is very focussed on using Scale75 paints but does serve as a great introductory book for those just starting out.
I know we can all watch a video thesedays, but sometimes curling up with a good book is worth 1000 hours online. And way better for your IQ!

And when you’re not painting minis, you might want to be able to build tiny worlds.

FAQ Dioramas
An extremely heavy tome that encompasses utterly everything in the world of miniature scenery.

FAQ Water, Ice & Snow
It’s best to think of this book as an extension to the previous one. This covers all the frozen parts that were missing.

Mel Bose, the Youtube Terrain Tutor gives you a wealth of information on building terrain for you tabeltop or gaming board.

How to make Wargames Terrain
An oldy but a goodie this one. Just because things are older doesn’t mean they aren’t still relevant. Great if you can find a copy!
Of course you need to be able to work with colour to get anything from this hobby.

How to work with color
One of the most educational and comprehensive books about colour theory and paint that I have ever seen.

Color Harmony (updated)
There are many different variations of books of this type around. But in my opinion, Rockport make the best one.

Up your literacy. Read some words.
Learn how to spray paint and pretend you know what you’re doing. Especially when making things look dirty.

Airbrushing for Scale Modelers
Learn all the basics of airbrushing up front and then follow a set of projects to polish up those skills. Yeah it’s tanks, but who cares.

Airbrush and Weathering Techniques
Not strictly an airbrushing book but all the needed info is in here. And the rest of the book is amazing for learning weathering.
Yeah, I totally ran out of things to write here. The irony.
